Planning
Before your charter, we discuss your preferences, dates and interests. We propose a route, activities and a vessel that suit your group.
Embarkation
You board the vessel in Tromsø or another agreed location. The crew welcomes you, and you settle in.
Your journey
Each day is designed around your preferences and conditions. The crew manages the vessel, meals and activities. You decide the pace.
Disembarkation
You return to the agreed location at the end of your charter. Transfers can be arranged.

The natural environment
A private charter gives you access to the full range of Northern Norway's natural environment. Depending on the season, you can cruise through fjords, search for whales, watch the Northern Lights, ski from the shoreline, fish in clear waters or simply explore. We never guarantee wildlife sightings or specific conditions. What we guarantee is that you will have a dedicated team putting you in the best possible position to experience whatever the Arctic offers on any given day.

Expedition Motor Catamaran
Archipelago is the flagship of Northern Yachting AS, an expedition motor catamaran built for extended private journeys through the fjords and islands of Northern Norway. The catamaran hull gives exceptional stability and generous deck space, making her an ideal platform for whale watching, northern lights cruises and photography.
Inside, a warm and fully insulated interior, a heated saloon with panoramic windows and comfortable overnight cabins let guests stay out for several days and wake up in a different fjord each morning. She is the mobile base for our most exclusive journeys, including whale adventures from Lodge Havnnes and sea to summit ski touring to remote peaks.
Onboard dining is prepared by the crew, including Pelle, our marine biologist and chef. Operated from Tromsø with captain, guide and chef on every journey.

We offer only private journeys. Every tour is exclusive to your group, with no shared departures. Demand for our experiences is high, and because each journey is fully bespoke and of a very exclusive nature, our tours are correspondingly priced.

Planning
We recommend discussing your charter well in advance. The more we understand your preferences, the better we can plan. However, we can also accommodate shorter-notice requests.

Life on board
The yacht is your home for the duration. Cabins are comfortable, meals are prepared on board, and the crew maintains the vessel. The atmosphere is relaxed and private.

The itinerary is flexible and adapts to weather. Your captain makes daily decisions about routes and activities based on conditions.
Group size
Archipelago accommodates up to 8 guests overnight. For day charters, we can accommodate up to 10. Larger groups can be discussed.

Pricing depends on vessel, duration, season, activities and services. We provide a detailed proposal after understanding your preferences.
