Our Story
A company built on local maritime experience
Northern Yachting AS was founded by people who have spent most of their working lives at sea in Northern Norway. Our background covers commercial fishing, maritime operations, expedition planning, marine biology and mountain guiding.
We created Tromso Pure because we believe the Arctic is best experienced privately, with people who know the waters, read the weather and can adapt a journey as conditions change. Standard sightseeing tours do not do justice to what Northern Norway has to offer.
Every journey we operate is designed around the guests who contact us. There are no fixed schedules, no shared departures, no one-size-fits-all itineraries. We listen to what you want, assess what is possible, and build a plan that works for your dates, group and interests.

How we think about every journey
We plan every journey around the people on board and the conditions on the day. Our team meets, discusses and agrees on each plan together, drawing on local knowledge and years of experience at sea. We never rely on fixed schedules or automated itineraries, and we would always rather change a plan than push through it. The Arctic does not wait for anyone, and we believe the best experiences come from working with it, not against it.
